Visit the McKee Bridge
Oregon once had over 600 covered bridges. Only around 50 survive. Built in 1917, McKee Bridge is the second oldest Oregon covered bridge listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The rustic, bridge spanning the Applegate River, just eight miles from the California border, was used until 1956, originally serving the mining and logging traffic. There's a lovely park to picnic and a great swimming destination at the river.
